Baby in the 80's. Kid of the 90's.
School was brutal but I made the best of it.
Some college, but uninspired + still wandered.
Unknowingly walked into a merchandise career by following the music.
Two plus decades of intrapreneur skill building at the same startup - an industry pioneer.
I learned the foundations of business in manufacturing + distribution, while honing an expertise in live event merchandise management + product brand embellishment in apparel, accessories, and more.
I moved out to live on my own at 19.
Married at 23.
Moved back to the east end of long island to have three beautiful little girls.
In 2018, seven months after the birth of my 3rd baby, I experienced debilitating symptoms over the course of 5 days that would forever change my life.
I lost my vision, speech, and ability to walk. I was gone.
I took a 4 week medical leave from the office and was quickly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
The following month I entered a trial study to support my body + heal the damage in my brain and spinal cord.
After a successful 9 months, I now had all the tools to manage my autoimmune disease + thrive with MS.
Our trial was SO SUCCESSFUL we launched The Foundation for Optimal Health an official 501c3 charity.
A fellow trial participant, my now dear partner + friend Tara, and I co-founded TFOH to share what we experienced on our healing journey.
We want to pay forward what was taught to us and help others access alternative therapies not yet recognized by the mainstream medicine.
I started really dialing in on my health + wellness.
I started taking a group fitness class that inspired + changed my perception of movement and the mind body connection. Soon after, I started training directly under Emily Tyson. Her SCULPT method transformed my body.
After getting certified in 2020, I now teach 3 x a week in Emily Tyson's Hampton Bays studio.
Now in my 40's, I am in the best shape of my life despite living with Multiple Sclerosis.
I do still experience symptoms + I live with the weight of Chronic Illness everyday.
I focus on what I can control + I work hard to optimize my baseline health. I stay present and actively run towards life with an excitement for discovering what my body is truly capable of enduring + flourishing.
